The Marcel A. Desautels Centre is committed to the academic exploration of private enterprise and the law. The academic programming of the centre connects diverse areas of business law, management, experiential learning, and academic research at the law school.

Within the Robson Hall community, the Marcel A. Desautels Centre maintains a number of linkages with the L. Kerry Vicker Business Law Clinic, including publishing opportunities for students. The various annual topical lectures and research groups connect those alumni, community members, academics, and current students with shared interests in entrepreneurship while amplifying private enterprises interests in the legal sector. The upcoming Business and Human Rights Conference is a prime example. Within Robson Hall’s course offerings, students have the opportunity to tailor their curriculum to specialize their in legal matters pertaining to small businesses by achieving a concentration in Private Enterprise and the Law. In this way, students hone their expertise in this area of law vital to Manitoba’s economy.
